modern cane necklace display

so, january has felt like a reallllllly long month so far.. right?? seriously, how is it not february? anyway, i thought i'd ease into 2020 with a simple DIY for this cane jewellery stand. i'm in a 'new year, new tidier me' frame of mind so it seemed appropriate.

oh emm geee it feels like ages since I've done a post with all my favourite little things in!

I've picked up some more things this week so I'll put up another post soon.. but here's a few bits + bobs that have tickled my fancy of late, scroll down to find out more:

my pal laura has opened up a new shop selling statement necklaces, I love throwing on something sparkly over a basic tee and jeans so this was right up my street! I also ought to point out that prices start at £5 so nip over and check them out here before those little rascals are all gone!!

I love this salty face buffer! it's seriously refreshing and the only thing that wakes me up in the morning; I do have to be careful with it as I have a tendency to scrub for dear life (I think my face would rather like to keep its skin intact) overall though a zingy little winner.

nothing makes me more upset at mother nature than having a pastel pair of vans just crying to be worn, I've had these for a few months and I'm so scared of getting them muddy they're currently taunting me from my shoe rack.. roll on spring so I can get these bad boys out in the open..

cath kidston mirror compact
I actually got this at christmas and in my eagerness to tidy up filled it away and forgot all about it, it's now parked in my everyday handbag for checking I don't have eyeliner all down my face (that has actually  happened more than once..)

I adore this egg cup set by keith brymer jones, it was a gift from our friends and I could not love it more! I had a look at some of the other things from the range and can safely say I'll attempt to buy it all..

I picked this up in paperchase sale just because it was ummm on sale. well we all need another snow globe right?

sometimes I buy random things in paperchase and that's all I have to say about these. if anyone is in need of childrens party bags you know where I am.

fujifilm instax mini
I wanted one of these for ages and now I have one I'm yet to use it! I'm determined to start snapping on this when I'm next out and about.. if anyone know where I can get cheap films for this let me know!

I nabbed this from the sale rack and haven't managed to wear it yet, it's not really a dress I'd wear often (I'm more intending to layer it up and wear it as a skirt) but I loved the detail on the neck and hem... I'm a sucker for a lace trim.

back soon!

writing wish lists always leads to trouble..

I made the fatal mistake of posting a january sales wish list and voila I'm now the happy (& slightly guilty owner of the above collection) I managed to nab a few sale steals including the cambridge satchel which is still on sale (consider yourselves warned) a karssen sweater and a tulle layer dress which I had my eye on a while back. (possibly not the most appropriate winter attire but I figured I could layer it up with some slouchy knitwear in the spring!)

have you bought any nice things in the sales this year?

I think this is just the loveliest idea.. I adore personalised gifts they're so thoughtful and cute! my parents like the odd tipple; in particular a drop of whiskey so I was really excited to make them their own bottle as a little surprise! it's incredibly easy to do (not even I could manage to mess this one up) simply choose the name for the front label and enter a personal message on the back and voila you've created your very own special bottle!
you can make and view your own label here -it's easy peasy and it all comes in a nice presentation box.. winner!

a perfect christmas surprise for your loved ones, it gets a big thumbs up from me (thanks mr grouse) I can't wait for mom & pops to open this!
double zip oversized clutch

I'm so glad I snapped up this primark clutch! a simple clean oversized bag that looks so much more expensive than it's price tag.. I adore the double zip feature and the two big compartments are perfect for separating my make up and lip balms from my keys, wallet and essentials. you can't beat primark for steals like this, I may just snap up another for one of my friends.
jewellery from kukee*

I absolutely love kukee! it's one of my favourite sites (I've been buying from them for the last year and have always been impressed with their products) for seriously affordable fashion jewellery I've struggled to find better! to celebrate their new website launch they've sent me a few pieces to share with you. the green aventurine necklace (just £6) is something I'd wear daily as well as the druzy ring. their entire gemstone range is pretty dreamy as each piece is slightly unique and quirky..
if you're still last minute xmas shopping go peek at their new site here for stocking fillers galore from as little as £1 (wowzers!)

this may just be my FAVE glitter polish to date! (I have a rather embarrassing amount of nail polish so I don't say this lightly) this is a lovely formula, glitter heavy so only one coat over a coloured polish gives a beautiful firework effect. I've worn it over my go-to winter shade models own 'in the navy' but I can't wait to try it over a plain white polish too!
I can never capture glitter polishes in all their glory on camera but trust me this looks lovely in the flesh!

how are you all getting on with your christmas shopping... are you tempted by any of these?

tiny wing ring c/o jana reinhardt

I had a teeny delivery that was so darn pretty I couldnt resist sharing it with you!

apparently good things do come in small packages and this tiny wing ring from jana reinhardt is just about the most perfect thing I've seen... I'm slightly obsessed with clean delicate jewelery so this dainty liitle piece is just the kind of thing I'm always hunting for!
I have a wishlist as long as my arm throughout the year and when christmas rolls around my mind goes blank; I couldn't string together a list this month if you paid me.. anyone else the same?

if you're looking for some gift ideas you can see jana & ross's range of gold and silver jewellery here!

today I have a fun little project for you; a tassel bracelet that you can make in a snip!

I came across this cute idea from I spy DIY on pinterest and immediately wanted to try it.
all the items needed are easily available on eBay, etsy or in craft shops! Just follow the steps below to make your own DIY tassel jewellery:
it's a really simple idea, mine took less than half an hour and there's lots of variations if you want to experiment... I think next time I'll opt for some chunky silver chains and different colour threads.

have any of you made something similar.. would you try this DIY?

back soon!
