if there's one wardrobe essential for me every year it's a good blazer. as someone who lives in jeans i find a blazer the quickest way to smarten up an outfit without becoming super dressy. i love the a/w blazer offerings the most, from plaid to corduroy and velvet there's just so much choice!
i've been hunting for a new blazer and i found so many i loved online i decided to put together this little collection to share with you guys.. there's a mix of budgets included as i'm always looking for a bargain but if you're looking to spend a touch more i'd definitely recommend & other stories blazers (swoon.)

gosh it's been so long since i shared an ootd. i go through phases where i really don't feel like taking outfit pictures (if i'm honest i'd rather just enjoy a day out without a camera involved!) but occasionally i get the itch to mix things up so here we go!
i'm forever hunting for the 'perfect' pair of jeans this month it's straight leg. my current faves are from topshop- i had to try on a few but i like this washed out grey pair- they're something different to my usual blues and blacks. i also nabbed this cropped floral shirt, the boxy fit and slightly long sleeves won me over. it comes in quite a few colours (i have the peach one as well but i find that creases pretty quickly- be warned!)
i can't remember if i've showed you my soho disco bag (thank you santa!) i'm not someone who really obsesses over designer labels, most of the time i'll opt to spend my money on travelling or decorating. however i've always considered a good bag a wardrobe staple- if you stick to classic shapes and colours it's hard to go wrong.
also converse... because north west wears them so i copied her.

it's kinda been forever since i shared an outfit post with you guys! now that spring's arrived i might venture out of hibernation (every now and again.) i'm starting to get excited at the prospect of actual sun and bare leg weather.. whoa steady on.
so you know when you see something and you absolutely NEED to own it? well that was my initial impression with this zara bomber. i first saw it on their instagram only to discover it had sold out in minutes (gah) but much to my delight the little rascal was restocked and well.. the rest is history! i always add pins and patches to my vintage jackets so finding a bomber plastered in them was a total win for me.
these high waited asos ripped jeans are ridiculously comfy and quite stretchy for a mom jean? i found my usual size a little long so i hacked the bottom off with some scissors. (i guess a normal person would swap them for a different leg length but i'm a stupidly impatient shopper.)
these pumps from daniel footwear are an absolute beauty, i opted for a neutral shade so i can mix and match them with lots of other outfits. i'm happy to report not a single blister since i've started wearing them which is SO rare for me and my tissue paper thin skin (thank you comfy feet gods!)
since i bought this jacket i've found another 1167 bombers i adore. the selection on asos and topshop are killing me a little so i've banned myself from looking at them.. i give it 24hrs.
..damn you temptation.
back soon!

it's almost december which means one thing.. party wear! (yep don't panic I wasn't heading to the supermarket when I braved wearing this ensemble out in the cold.. )
everyone knows I tend to steer towards the more casual side of fashion, when it comes to nights out my only concession is adding heels alongside my denim jeans. christmas however is the exception- dressing like a human glitter ball is 100% acceptable in my book (more is definitely more!) nobody does party dresses like topshop so I was excited to road test this chainmail number.
their latest holiday campaign is full of my festive favourites (read velvet and sequins.) this slinky silver chain mail dress turns into a sparkly rainbow under lights which makes for perfect 80's-esque dance floor attire. I'm not usually a body con kinda girl but I figured I'd go all out.. and in the spirit of OTT dressing I couldn't not grab this gorgeous oversized animal print faux fur coat. WIN!
I've paired them with some over the knee boots (in an effort to stay warm- I kid you not it was freezing here this week!) these boots fit beautifully and I'm looking forward to wearing them over skinny jeans or with a floaty vintage dress as a daytime option.
I'm currently at my desk in my faux fur, turns out it's more effective at keeping me warm than my central heating..
back soon!

hurrah the season of sweaters and scarves has arrived! I love the crisp air of autumn (and with it the excuse to layer up and burrow into cosy knitwear.)
yes it's goodbye to the bikini diet- you'll find me tucking into all the casseroles and crusty bread I can find until january.
