big fat chewy cookie anyone?

posting recipes is a little new for me, I actually do quite a lot of secret baking!

I like to put on my apron and pretend I'm a 1950's domestic goddess on a fairly regular basis. I tend to bake cakes especially fancy little cupcakes where I tend to get carried away decorating but I also harbour a love for chewy cookies and decided to find the ultimate recipe!

if you like the big chewy millie's bakery cookies you'll love these! you'll need the following..

pre heat the oven to gas mark 3/170c and grease some baking trays.

sift together the flour, bicarb and salt, set aside! then melt your butter in a pan or microwave.

take a medium bowl, add your sugars and melted butter and cream together until well blended. beat in the vanilla and eggs until light and creamy. next lightly mix in your dry ingredients then stir in the chocolate chips (I used big white chocolate pieces for mine.. mmmmm)

take your prepared baking trays and drop about two-three tablespoons of cookie dough per cookie. looks a lot but they will spread out so space them about 8cm apart. (if you use less dough the cookies will be smaller but more crispy, if you want a chewy centre use a lot of dough per cookie!)

don't pat them down they will spread out and level themselves whilst cooking, bake for 15-17 minutes and remove just as the edges get crispy!

leave to cool and pour yourself a glass of milk to dunk, after all that work you deserve a little treat...

enjoy!
