colour blocked dress: yayer (c/o)
satin bomber: american apparel
sliders: topshop

I still have a bit of a crush on pastels so this seriously pretty colour block dress from yayer had PICK ME written all over it. it comes with cute little cami straps so I can wear it over a white tee if I'm feeling a bit 90's but it's still floaty enough to make me feel rather princess-esque.

I nabbed this satin bomber from the aa factory outlet in NYC and I'm still trying to figure out why it was reduced.. possibly because I look like an extra from miami vice in it? who knows.. the mystery continues.

I had intended to wear with some dr marten style chunky boots and leather jacket but I threw on my topshop sliders at the last minute ..I wish I hadn't as the little blighters completely skinned my big toe after 5 minutes so I'm sporting a glam plaster/sandal combo, damn you tissue paper feet.

I shall be going back for seconds though 'cause I love them.. be gentle ugly beautiful sandals.

ted baker sumna skirt: asos (c/o)
ted baker cadeen shoes: asos (c/o) similar here
stripe tee: topshop
navy bag: vintage
leather jacket (old)

did I mention this was a two part edition..? (I know.. lucky me!)

so this is the remaining look from my asos ted baker challenge, this time I had to style up their sumna skirt from their ss14 range which is a really lovely piece for the summer!

god knows I love white clothes (as a serial beverage spiller I like to live dangerously) so this waffled number was always going to be a hit. it has a cute little peplum hem and it's high waist makes it great for pairing with crop tee's. it's not as much as a statement as the dress in my last post but its undoubtedly the one I'd wear most often..

I've gone all out casual in the first look, plimsoles, a crop tee and oversized sunnies (this is something I'd usually wear) for the evening I just switched to the pointed flats, an embellished vest and leather jacket for a smarter look.. easy peasy!

which is your favourite look?

ps. our looks are now on the ted baker hub which you can here on asos (eeeeeep!!)

ted baker dress: asos (c/o)
satin bomber: american apparel
feather bag: river island
fedora: topshop

I've been so excited to share this post with you guys! I was lucky enough to be picked as a ted baker advocate for asos recently- eeeep! the challenge was to style up some of the gorgeous new ted baker ss14 collection from day to night!

I had the theme day out to style which was easy peasy thanks to this safiya dress..  the jungle orchid print is beyond beautiful! it's neoprene fabric is incredibly flattering (ted baker I salute you) and those clean cut lines make it a real classic piece.

even though it's a lot smarter than what I'd normally wear on a daily basis it's a really versatile dress that's simple to dress up with heels to take it through to the evening. I decided to pair it with a satin bomber and these lovely ted baker pointed flats for my casual daytime look and I just switched it up by adding a leather jacket and heels for the night.

I have a wedding coming up in a few months and I can safely say I think this is what I'll wear.. it's perfect for a sunny afternoon celebrating with friends.

which is your favourite look..? I think mine is definitely the more casual one (no surprise there!)

ice lolly vest: c/o hero & cape
midi skirt: primark
marabou feather bag: river island
 michael kors watch: c/o shadestation

these photos are from my trip to padstow with james. it's a teeny place so we popped down one afternoon and spent a few hours wandering about aimlessly before we stopped into rick steins for some fish & chips.

the weather was on our side so it was the perfect day to wear my ice lolly vest.. huzzah! I've been a fan of hero & cape since I first clapped eyes on their oversized anchor tee- their playful graphics are all hand printed so I was super excited when this beauty arrived as I'd seen it being made on their instagram.. eeep!

I can't tell you how long I've been looking for a feather bag, I'm pretty sure a chorus of bird song heralded this one popping up on my screen while I browsed the new in section ..I river island I salute you.

back soon, happy easter guys!

top: vintage
bag: primark

if you follow me on instagram you might have seen I popped down to cornwall last week... such a beautiful place (it was my first time there so excited was not the word!) our apartment in watergate bay was only a few minutes walk from the beach so we took these photos on our first morning exploring..

it hardly ever occurs to me to buy trousers? I never really need anything smarter than denim on a daily basis but these topshop ones are so easy to wear (if I'm honest it was the gingham swayed me... I heart the stuff.)

I also have to give a shout out for my office flats.. I've not even had to look at a packet of plasters since I started wearing them (those who know my feet will applaud) I have skin like tissue paper so finding shoes this kind is A-mazing.
