cocoon check print dress: c/o front row shop
pork pie hat: topshop
double cuff: topshop
pyramid ring: urban outfitters
gold double chain ring: laura gravestock
vintage cocktail ring: c/o rock 'n' rose
perspex bag: klear klutch

obsessed.

yep that pretty much sums up my feeling towards my new dress. it's quite unlike anything else I own and is my favourite a/w piece so far. it also has the addition of pockets (always dear to my heart) and I love how understated it feels.

the dress is from front row shop who have quite the selection of quirky clothing, I'm already building up quite a hefty wishlist! I'm really loving unusual cuts and details and their clothing has a wonderful scandinavian feel to it, big fan.

I've been rummaging through my accessories and one thing I will be investing in this month is a few more vintage style rings, I really don't have enough choice in my current stash so if you have any jewellery shop recommendations please let me know! today I'm sporting some of my all time favourites to tide me over including my laura gravestock ring which never fails to perk up my paws.

today I'm in reykjavik with the boy; we've escaped to celebrate his 30th birthday yipeeee!! if you want to keep up to date you can pop over to my instagram for out latest adventures here

hope you're all having a good week.. look forward to catching up when I get home!

velvet world dress: c/o mee mee
fedora: topshop
backpack: topshop
studded boots: old

eeeeeep I finally have some velvet in my wardrobe!

every season tartan and velvet seem to be a staple in autumn/winter trends and I massively regretted not investing in a velvet dress last season! this little number is from the new arrivals at meemee and it was velvet & sheer winner at first sight.. it had a hint of gothic fairytale but still looked wearable.

I'm not a huge fan of big sheer panels but subtle ones get the thumbs up for me; I'll mostly wear this dress layered up with jumpers, tights and chunky boots so it'll be quite versatile this winter (no doubt It'll pop up on here again soon!)

I'm already looking forward to layering up again (and probably eating my way into hibernation) is that wrong? anyone else excited to whip out the knits?

dress: vintage (gift)
superga x rita ora high top trainers: c/o allsole
hat: h&m similar here
bag: topshop
badges: vintage and thrifted
ice cream necklace: chelsea doll

I do like to have a bit of fun with my outfits...

I've always had a slight obsession with collecting old badges and brooches so I decided to use a few of them to decorate one of my vintages dresses (the dress is so 80's I figured I should go with it) I think I might have been on a haribo induced sugar high when I put this outfit together.

I thought it would the perfect casual outfit to wear with my new trainers from allsole. these silver beauties are from the new rita ora collaboration with superga, she's the face of their latest campaign and these metallic high tops are just too cool for school! I can't resist anything shiny and I think they'll be perfect with some skinny jeans as autumn approaches...

(they also did a collaboration with house of holland and have some trainers complete with pompoms.. errrr AMAZING!)

I'll be back with a new post tomorrow.. so keep your eyes peeled!!

topi tea dress: motel
fedora: topshop
selena bag: la moda
martie shoes: topshop
chunky silver band: kukee

some brands are just damn dangerous for my bank balance!

motel is one of those websites I go out of my way to avoid browsing due to the sheer amount of temptation on offer, I am however fatally weak (I guess some things are just too pretty to avoid goddamn it)

I finally ordered this dress after a few days of ummming and ahhhing and I'm so glad I did;  it's the perfect little summer dress and really comfortable to wear (now I just have to resist the other three dresses I spotted...)

I also picked up this oversized selena bag from la moda which was a steal at £16 and could quite literally carry a small rhino (ok I exaggerate a little but it's amazingly roomy) I loved the padlock and tassel detail and I wanted a big white summer bag for holiday so it ticked all the boxes. they have some beauties in stock the minute and I'm seriously tempted to go back for another style as they're so darn affordable.

I best get off my laptop, the boy has been on a 100 mile bike ride today and is expecting a slap up meal, god help him (the contents of my fridge include butter, chocolate and a suspicious looking packet of  ham... send help!)

back soon

white racer front bodycon dress: c/o little mistress
fedora: topshop
necklace: primark
bag: vintage
sandals: new look

yikes I feel quite grown up in this outfit!

it's not often I stray away from my casual threads but I love a good bodycon dress, this one is from little mistress who have oodles of niceness on offer.

racer front and clean lines = classic staple for my wardrobe (the words classic and staple will usually sway me towards most items, I suspect it's old age kicking in) they also have some adorable separates like this cut out chiffon panel top *swoon* one to add to the bookmark bar!

the dress itself is amazing quality, fully lined (no pesky peek a boo underwear) it's one of those little numbers that makes you feel super feminine and a little minxy (well until I ruin the illusion by spilling a drink on myself..)

my other love is my new primark necklace and silver chunky bands from kukee, I'm fast becoming a silver convert and can't stop browsing jewellery sites.. send help.

hope you've enjoyed the sweltering heat today, I'm off to hunt down a slush puppy machine, wish me luck!
