minimal kitchen accessories, modern kitchen

if you've read this blog for long enough you may remember i used to post a round up of my monthly favourites. as i'm forever trying new products and buying things for the house i though i'd revive it so i could share the stuff i'm enjoying with you guys!

so in the last month i've been buying a few pieces for the house! i'm staying away from big purchases at the moment and focusing on some finishing touches to update the main living spaces. little purchases like the hay hand above are great for adding some scandi style to my shelving. i've also been buying up small handmade ceramics at local markets that i'll share with you soon.

we went to ikea a few times as we were hunting for some new accessories for the kitchen makeover. we snapped up items like these minimal black and white spice mills, a dustpan and broom that you'd happily leave out on display (not online but in store if you're lucky) and this snazzy watering can to name a few.

scandinavian style, products, packaging

i've lost count of how many times i've spotted l.a.bruket on my travels so i was super excited to finally get my mitts on some of their products from rooi. i can honestly say it was the most uh-mazing smelling parcel i've opened in forever! the smell of sage, rosemary and lavender essential oils is so refreshing (i don't know why but sage always reminds me of indulgent spa days?) the soap is a great addition to my new bathroom and their iconic hand cream is just what my dry and chapped hands needed after all the house renovations!

also how awesome is the packaging?

budget skincare, how to, ordinary

i was really interested to try out the latest skincare sensation- the ordinary (think clinical skincare at budget prices) this no frills brand has everyone talking and at the price it's hard to resist seeing what the hype is about. after a month of use i love the buffet serum -it's super lightweight and absorbs in an instant. i prefer using it in the mornings before i apply make up as it's so fresh and i'd repurchase again for sure.

the moisturiser however feels a little more budget, it has no luxe for less feel on application and i haven't noticed any real difference to the appearance of my skin after use. for the price it's a good non greasy lightweight moisturiser but i wouldn't buy it again (i'd try one of their face oils instead!)

lush shower cream, beauty,

i was v. upset to lean the comforter and all it's fruity goodness was going to be discontinued!! i've been using this bottle up for the last month with a heavy heart.. you'll be missed old friend!

i need to find a new lush shower cream favourite..

true grace candle, autumn favourites

so it's totally autumn WOOOOOO! (hello sweater weather) it's always been my favourite season and with it comes the inevitable influx of new candles to burn! this is my latest purchase and whilst the cucumber aroma may not scream autumn it's damn nice to have burning in the kitchen to freshen things up.

next month i'll have some music, podcast and book recommendations as i'm heading on holiday soon so i'll keep you posted if i find anything amazing!

back soon
