DIY label maker fridge magnets

DIY fridge magnet tutorial

this DIY combines two of my favourite habits- writing lists and making labels!

since the arrival of my dymo i've pretty much labelled anything i can get my mitts on.. boxes, notebooks, even my tea collection (...you name it i've stuck a label on it.) i was cleaning up my craft cupboard when i found an old roll of magnetic tape and bam.. retro label maker magnets became my new thing!

fancy getting involved too? read on..

materials:

scissors

label maker DIY

grab yourself a label maker and create some labels- you can print anything you like! my magnets are going on my fridge so i opted for reminders and fun little slogans.

next take some magnetic tape and cut it to fit the labels you made.

remove the self adhesive backing and stick the labels onto the magnets. taaa daaa, all done (seriously it's too easy to make these!)

fridge magnet DIY

so now my fridge magnets are complete i can stick up my reminders and shopping lists. nothing makes a list more fun to write than some snazzy new pens and these LAMY ones are a total dream to write with. for me handwriting is a very personal thing so finding a good pen that feels right is kinda a big deal.

(also i hadn't used a fountain pen since school and had totally forgotten how much i loved them!)

  7. I love both pens and I would love to make a shopping list magnet - I am always jotting down what I need to get at the shops on scraps of paper but they often get lost around the kitchen! I would also make 'to do' magnets and message magnets for my kids too!

  24. I remember getting a label maker for Christmas when I was young, I loved it, and labelled all sorts of things that didn't really need labelling. Shopping list magnets are a fun idea.
