can you believe it's nearly halloween already!?

Is anyone else panicking over halloween fancy dress? 

I wanted to be a bloody zombie nurse at my fancy dress party this saturday... well that was until I discovered that nurse outfits don't seem to come in any style other than the super skimpy that barely covers your cheeks. 

sigh, the hunt continues.. 

well costume disasters aside I decided to move onto my nails. these never let me down.

I've never tried these nails although I've seen them on WAH a million times, I thought they'd be perfect for halloween mischief!

I promised to try out some new nail art while I was on holiday and here's the first; nail bows!

I really like this one; it's cute and pretty versitile! I did find it really tricky to paint my right hand but with a little perseverance I managed all fingers and thumbs, phew! 

I used my autumn favourite models own slate grey as the base coat here. (have any of you purchased the mirrorball collection yet? I just discoved the wonderland box set... swoon! it's first on my pay day to buy list at the end of the month!)

once the base was dried I followed these steps: 

just a little nail art post today! I wanted to share this dinky cupcake and sprinkles design to give you some ideas for your nails this week..

it wasn't too hard actually! I painted a white base coat which I left to dry before adding some random pink drippy edges, these don't need to be neat which makes life a hell of a lot easier!

the detail comes from the sprinkles which I painted on with my yellow, pink and blue models own nail art pens (it only took a few minutes..win!)

it's saturday, it's fairly gloomy outside and I just found myself watching murder she wrote..ouch. 

thankfully it's not all bad, my latest nails are definitely cheering me up. I didn't have time to do a step by step for these but I though they might give you some ideas for painting your own! 

I love WAH nails it's a great place to find ideas and amazing nail art designs, since they collaborated with models own to create their nail art pens I haven't used anything else. my nails are my take on some of their most iconic nail art patterns!
