today I'm showing you two looks with one dress! I love shift dresses; a wardrobe staple and versatile to boot (they have a knack of draping over your body without emphasising those darn love handles so lets add flattering to the list!) I have a few in my possession already but I was excited to try the new edit from dorothy perkins!
this is my day look, I opted for the oriental print dress as it's feminine but modern. I've paired it with an over sized collar shirt and belt for a more casual look (plus my standard winter attire of hat and chunky tights)

I'd also wear this with a chunky knit and flats, it's really easy to mix and match.
for my evening look I've kept it simple; the shape is so classic I like to wear it alone to show off the cut. I've worn my over sized pink coat, chunky chains and transparent clutch just to take it up a notch!

I'm really taken with this dress, the shape is perfect for me! it also comes in some winning basic colours of black and red and there are some gorgeous floral versions (including cami ones) that I think will be popular... you can see the full range of party dresses here!

which look do you prefer.. casual or night out?

back soon!

when I was younger my geography teacher wore jumpers with elbow patches.

do you know how long I have been looking for a geography teacher sweater? I'll tell you.. years.

and now they're bloody everywhere! (to my delight) (nerd thumbs up) I think it's high time the winter layering started so I have been scouting out the ol' knitwear this week.

I walked into new look and spotted this jumper, I'm slightly embarrassed to admit how excited I was to spy it's leather look elbow patches, win!

in keeping with the school teacher theme I picked up this amazing little cambridge satchel look a like in primark (hello £6 bargain!)

I also found myself a new boyfriend style watch in river island; it's a a little michael kors -esque but at a fraction of the price.

jumper: new look
dress underneath: primark with DIY collar studs.
hat: h&m
satchel: primark
boots: vintage
watch: river island
nails: american apparel neon violet

have you started layering up yet?
