my best friend is getting married.
yipeee!
her hen do was last weekend and I had a pub crawl of mammoth standards to embark on. I wasn't sure what to wear until the last minute and opted for this vintage/thrifted combo as the sun (and my inner child) was out in force! thank god I opted for flats I would have no doubt been nursing the inevitable high heel related blisters if I'd braved wearing them (...I'll swiftly brush over my vodka related lack of co-ordination in heels)
I picked up this vintage skirt from the little deer, they've just revamped their shop and have some gorgeous new things in that I'm trying extraordinarily hard to resist..! the crop tee was from one of my thrifting trips, I'm having a crop tee phase this month (not helped by the topshop sale) they're just so easy to wear with my high waited garms!
you may notice my newest addition, my super cute iPhone case from iconemesis! the lovely peeps asked me if I'd like to review one of their cases and I couldn't resist picking this funny llama case by illustrator gemma correll! I had a hard time choosing a case as they have some gorgeous fifi lapin designs but I went with my gut reaction which was this one as it made me smile.
I'll pop up some pictures of it in another post so you can see it close up but since it's on show in my klear klutch I thought I'd give it a mention!

I love prints.. especially of the palm tree variety!
two minutes after opening this meemee dress, I was on a beach, mojito in hand ready for my summer holiday (you can't blame a girl for dreaming...) as soon as the rain makes itself scarce this little beauty is going to be a staple in my sunny day dress collection. they have some really nice items in at the minute, this lace playsuit is already making my debit card nervous so if you haven't added them to your shopping bookmarks you should.
you may notice my new hat; this topshop fedora has been on my wishlist for about two months (yep I caved, I'm weak) now I can pretend to be indiana jones from the comfort of my own bedroom... that's my weekend plans sorted.
the belt is from forever 21 and is a really good dupe of the urban outfitters versions so I figured I was saving myself some money with this purchase...wink.

my first outfit post of 2013... yikes!
I'll put it out there; along with my love of shopping, trash tv & carbohydrates there's a special place in my heart for the bretton stripe! it's my no brainer outfit pick for casual days when raiding my wardrobe seems like a chore.
if in doubt I'll always throw on a navy & white stripy tee, some skinnies and a red lip for instant easy french chic (well as chic as I can look in my converse anyway.)
I fell for these isabel marant cowboy influenced boots in office a while back; I'm so glad I waited to buy them as there was 50% off them in the sale! needless to say I parted with my card details in a moment of discounted madness and counted down the days until they arrived ..hurrah!
I'm also a little in love with the christmas present that is my new perspex bag (I'm not much of a clutch gal, I tend to go for the cross body hobo style as I'm inherently a lazy pup and hate to carry anything!) it's definitely encouraging me to cut down on the amount of rubbish I cram into my bag on a daily basis... hello streamlined caroline, goodbye mary poppins!

hello guys! I hope you all had a fabulous christmas?
I decided to put together a little christmas themed instagram sunday post with some of my favourite presents and pictures over xmas!
I can't believe the festive fun is over already (sob) this new year's eve I'm just planning to go out for dinner and (a few) drinks before I turn into a walking cliche in january (healthy eating resolutions, attempted fitness regime, quitting smoking etc etc zzzzzz)

I've had such a brilliant christmas this year! the best present by far was simply having all of my family together on christmas day; thank you santa!
