I stumbled across this dress when I was hunting out an outfit for christmas; I'm a sucker for a novelty print so it was love at first sight! I bought it online from topshop assuming it was a jersey stretch fabric from the images, I was quite pleased when it arrived because it was a touch dressier than I'd imagined.
now you'll have to excuse my cat ears (another sale find) it was only when I got home it occurred to me that they're perhaps the most impractical headgear ever! I can't exactly see me sporting them in sainsburys so I've put them on because I wanted them to have at least one outing this year.. forgive me!
I'll be switching the car ears for a big fur coat when I leave the house! I've loved the recent snow but my clumsiness combined with patches of ice are a lethal combination!
flippy heart dress: topshop
lace cat ears: topshop sale, similar here
belt: primark
perspex clutch: klear klutch
charm necklace: urban outfitters, similar here
boots: vintage
nails: models own red alert
hope you're all having a great weekend!

a rather bright outfit post today! I couldn't help myself; I've spend most of the week wearing black and grey jumpers and I was having severe colour withdrawals.
I bought this asos skirt a few months ago; it's only had one outing so I decided it was high time it came out of retirement for a day. I'm a little in love with motif jumpers and this one from urban outfitters vintage has been one of my favourite sweaters this year.
(I also couldn't resist showing you this amazeballs chelsea doll ice cream necklace.. seriously how cute is it?! kitsch with a capital k!)
today I braved the opening of our first primark here and despite the horrendous crowds I battled my way through and found a really lovely navy coat that I'll show you in one of my next posts. apart from my huge faux fur I am really lacking in winter coat attire so it was much needed... thank you primark gods!
eagle sweater: urban outfitters
skirt: asos
necklace: c/o chelsea doll
satchel: topshop (old)
studded boots: new look (can't see online but should still be most shops)
hat: h&m
arm candy: asos
back soon!

I'm broke.
I checked my bank account yesterday and to my horror discovered I must have had a shopping blackout earlier this month (don't remember those trips to topshop..)
since I'm now on a super strict budget I've been raiding my wardrobe to up cycle some old outfits! I nearly brought a sleeveless checked shirt last week so I dug out an old shirt and cut the sleeves off myself, voila new topshop inspired shirt!
I love to mix prints so I paired it with my primark heart print skirt and metallic pumps.
on a DIY theme I also wore my button bag that I covered myself last year! it look an afternoon but was well worth the effort to stitch them all on!
skirt and pumps: primark
bag and shirt: DIY
flower bead bracelet: asos
yellow leather studded bracelet and rubber pink bracelet: topshop
rainbow chain (sold by the meter): hobbycraft
watch and vintage bangle: urban outfitters
so have you got anything in your wardrobe worth recycling? if you don't wear it any more you've got nothing to lose (well apart from a pair of sleeves!)

I've been on a dress binge and found some bargains practically begging me to snap them up, honest! I love spring weather; warm enough to ditch the black tights for ankle boots but still cool enough to throw on a cute knit. I've been wearing my dresses with vintage belts, jumpers and plenty of over sized necklaces.
striped navy and white jersey dress only £8 at primark.
grey jersey dress £25 from topshop.
heart print ditsy tea dress dress only £13 at primark.
at some point I'll rope my lovely boyfriend into taking some proper outfit pictures but for the time being I'll have to stick to taking photos in my bedroom mirror like a 16yr old aha!
hope this gives you some spring shopping inspiration!
