ted baker dress: asos (c/o)
satin bomber: american apparel
feather bag: river island
fedora: topshop

I've been so excited to share this post with you guys! I was lucky enough to be picked as a ted baker advocate for asos recently- eeeep! the challenge was to style up some of the gorgeous new ted baker ss14 collection from day to night!

I had the theme day out to style which was easy peasy thanks to this safiya dress..  the jungle orchid print is beyond beautiful! it's neoprene fabric is incredibly flattering (ted baker I salute you) and those clean cut lines make it a real classic piece.

even though it's a lot smarter than what I'd normally wear on a daily basis it's a really versatile dress that's simple to dress up with heels to take it through to the evening. I decided to pair it with a satin bomber and these lovely ted baker pointed flats for my casual daytime look and I just switched it up by adding a leather jacket and heels for the night.

I have a wedding coming up in a few months and I can safely say I think this is what I'll wear.. it's perfect for a sunny afternoon celebrating with friends.

which is your favourite look..? I think mine is definitely the more casual one (no surprise there!)

ice lolly vest: c/o hero & cape
midi skirt: primark
marabou feather bag: river island
 michael kors watch: c/o shadestation

these photos are from my trip to padstow with james. it's a teeny place so we popped down one afternoon and spent a few hours wandering about aimlessly before we stopped into rick steins for some fish & chips.

the weather was on our side so it was the perfect day to wear my ice lolly vest.. huzzah! I've been a fan of hero & cape since I first clapped eyes on their oversized anchor tee- their playful graphics are all hand printed so I was super excited when this beauty arrived as I'd seen it being made on their instagram.. eeep!

I can't tell you how long I've been looking for a feather bag, I'm pretty sure a chorus of bird song heralded this one popping up on my screen while I browsed the new in section ..I river island I salute you.

back soon, happy easter guys!

otylia oversized checked dress: c/o misguided
fedora hat: topshop
boots: primark

ah this dress, I'm forever hunting down smock style numbers so this trapeze dress from misguided has made me all warm inside. it's pretty oversized but the fabric is heavy enough that it hangs really well (although I have failed to take a photo with my arms down to show this.. yes, brilliant work from me as always) it's also a TOTAL steal compared to others on the market so if you like swingy smock dresses this may well be your new bestie.

I've wanted a pair of dr martens all winter but now the weather is picking up I took a gamble on these patent dupes from primark to tide me over (to my shock they're pretty damn comfortable) primark you are my little hero.

in other news it's officially been no tights weather today.. good job I'm not eager or I may have found myself trying on my ENTIRE summer wardrobe, but's who's daft enough to do that yet...

boyfriend coat: new look
pink roll neck: cow vintage
riot sequin pencil skirt: c/o lashes of london
name necklace: c/o chelsea doll
bag: la moda
boots: c/o asos

sequins are for life not just for christmas.. errr well that's what I'm telling myself because I really loved this pencil skirt from lashes of london (it's acceptable to walk the streets dressed like a human glitter ball at 11am right?) or I guess you could just wear it at night as it there's a matchy matchy crop glitter top available too.. twosie love right there!

I love my name necklace from chelsea doll, there's something really fun and kitsch about it, I've wanted one for an age and theirs are a total steal plus they come in loads of different colours so I'm seriously tempted to get another one for the summer. the bag I'm wearing is quite an oldie that I bought from la moda last year, they've started selling shoes recently and I'm dying to get my hand on a pair of their hologram platforms (please come back into stock!!) I think my love of spice girl-esque shoes has reached new levels.. send help if I start wearing joggers and a high pony..

it's probably a good job I don't own any pink shoes or I might have succumbed to the urge to wear head to toe pink, and I don't think anyone is quite ready for that vision.

skirt: topshop
shoes: h&m
bag: vintage

wowza I'm not sure what's gotten into me but I'm loving black again lately...

I spotted this embellished tee on choies and I knew instantly it was THE ONE! I love how simple it is and think it's a great option to wear with skinnies on casual days. I'm really into basic shapes at the moment which I put down to reading a lot of scandinavian blogs this month (they've totally inspired me to invest in a few well cut key pieces!)

if you've not been on choices it's definitely worth a browse; they have an eye watering array of tempting clothes and some beautiful footwear too.

the skirt is an oldie from topshop; I wear it time and time again which proves that a simple pencil skirt is a good investment for me (or maybe it proves that I need some new skirts aha!) I opted for white accessories just for the hell of it, I guess black would have been the sensible choice but I wanted to give something different a whirl...

back soon!

lemon knitted top: vintage
flower skater skirt: c/o rebel rebel
t-bar geek shoes: topshop
oversized white bag: la moda

you have guessed from my twitter rants about the claims of 'one coat' paint (..IT STILL NEEDS TWO COATS DAMMIT) I'm still renovating my house.

it's not all decorating dramas though because this little daisy skater skirt from rebel rebel made it's way through my postbox and brightened my day! I love bold prints and this is such a dinky little number and quite the bargain at £15! in fact their entire range is seriously affordable.. I'm eyeing up some of their new arrivals with intent (hello £8 tartan pencil skirt!) I like having little skirts to layer up with jumpers and tights when the weather gets a bit nippy; as much as I don't want the summer to end LFW chatter has reminded me autumn is a-comin' yikes!

surprisingly I had no idea what to wear it with (despite a wardrobe bursting at the seams, yes it seems I've turned into a complete girl this week!) so I went on a huge rummage and found this vintage knitted top under a pile of cushion covers..  hurrah outfit sorted!

I'm still surgically attached to my topshop flats.. comfortable with a hint of nerd = love.

with all this decorating malarkey I'm overdue a big bloglovin' catch up.. I hope you're all having a good week?
