if in doubt I go basic.

I love the simple combination of cuts off & a white tee, If I'm in a hurry it's my go-to throw together outfit. 

I took these photos last week, but a weekend of pub crawling for my best friends hen do left put a spanner in the works (and by spanner I mean hangover) luckily a few cheese toasties and an afternoon of self pity seems to have done the trick and I'm back on track. hallelujah.

it's such a basic ensemble I thought it was the perfect time to wear my new statement footwear from SoYouShoes. these puppies really caught my eye when I was browsing their website; half sandal - half boot they're a gladiator hybrid and perfect for dressing up a simple outfit (not to mention comfortable I shan't be filling up my handbag with blister plasters for once!) I'm sure I'll be wearing these on a regular basis this summer as they're great paired with shorts and skirts.

red lips & a few accessories were my only real attempt to dress up, on a sunny day I like to take it easy!

I'm always on the hunt for the 'perfect' pink nail polish.. a classic go-to nail colour.

I love bright bold shades on my nails especially in the summer and this orly polish I received from beauty expert is so darn pretty!

on first look I wasn't sure if I'd like this one! it has a slight shimmer finish in the bottle and I wasn't sure how it would translate on my actual nails. 

fear not I was wrong aha! it's beautiful on and I LOVE the colour, a classic hot pink but just light enough to be uber feminine.

the polish itself applies really well, the formula is rich and smooth. this is two coats swatched here and it dries quickly, I didn't find that it chipped easily (I think I had it on for three days in total) 

I couldn't resist adding a little daisy nail art to mine to brighten up a dull afternoon, you can see the tutorial for this look over on beauty expert! I think this will be the shade I reach for when I'm having a pamper day.. a perfect princess pink.
