bowler hat: h&m
white fluffy sweater c/o chicwish
triple layer tulle ballerina skirt c/o chicwish
bag: vintage
chunky cut out buckled boots c/o chicwish
so I managed to tick something off my never ending wish list.. a ballerina skirt! yes that's right apparently I'm still 8 years old.
I've wanted one of these frothy concoctions for a long time and this one from chicwish didn't disappoint.. layers of princess tulle (I made myself slightly dizzy testing it's spinning prowess) give it maximum prom dress pouf appeal!
call me crazy but a girl can never have enough fluffy jumpers? this one is pretty darn snugly, in fact I'm convinced it comes with it's own central heating as I managed to wear this a full day without uttering a single word about the weather... now that my friends is impressive.
the bag is a vintage find and the footwear are testament to my ongoing cut out boot buckle addiction! my feet also seem to like them very much so I'm not complaining plus I though the outfit needed a little edge.. it's all pretty girlie above the knee..

ps. I'm a tough cookie and more than prepared to suffer a pair of cold knees on a night out, that's right, the skirt has caused a 100 denier rebellion, those little critters are going nowhere near this outfit!

black quilted skirt: topshop
white crop shirt: the whitepepper
croc slouchy holdall: topshop
the word challenges usually fills me with fear (mostly a fear of any form of physical exercise) but a high street one..? KAPOW yes please.
I'll be attending this years clothes show as a guest of echo falls; it's an event I always wanted to go to when I was younger (the benefit of going now I'm older.. well I can have myself a nice old glass of white in the echo falls wine bar hurrah!) the challenge was to find a high street outfit for the show with a budget of £75.. and the above pics are what I've put together!
as always I was drawn to topshop like a magnet, I've been looking for a clean a-line skirt for winter layering and this quilted one fit the bill perfectly! the fluffy jumper was a foregone conclusion.. SOMEONE STOP ME! pastel baby blue and soft as a kitten I can't stop stroking myself because I'm virtually wearing a hug.
I've worn boots here today but I may switch for flats when I head to the clothes show as I'll be whizzing about taking pictures of all the goings on! I wanted to be presentable but comfortable and this skirt and jumper combo is just about the most comfortable thing that's ever graced my skin... puuuuuur.
now for a little extra fun I have a pair of tickets for the clothes show live to giveaway yippppee!! please enter via the rafflecopter giveaway below; I'll be announcing the winner this weekend!
