it's killing me that SS14 fashion has arrived and spring ..hasn't! case in point these SS14 duty dungarees from this is a love song, I've been dying to wear them and luckily the weather perked up long enough yesterday for me to head out and take these pics! 

I'll have to layer these bad boys with tights until it's warmer but I couldn't resist showing you them; I loved the swimming pool-esque print panel plus it has a big old zipper pocket for me to stash things in (always a winner) this bali based brand is launching in the UK in harrods next month and has an infectious beachy festival vibe.

I decided coordination wasn't on my agenda so my new daisy duck top made an appearance as well as my latest addiction.. topshop glitter socks (wow my inner child is out in full force this week)

the suitcase is unpacked and I'm an icelandic tourist no longer *sobs*

since I'm returning to the task of finishing the house renovations it only seems right to don the painter and decorator attire of denim overalls (no builders bum though I have to draw the line somewhere...) these were a steal from primark and perfect longing attire!

once I've caught up I'll pop up some pictures of my time away as I hugely recommend reykjavik as a city break- it's quaint, quirky and I've left a little piece of my heart there!

eeeeeeep I decided to take part in a challenge this week... a filofax one to be exact!

you may have realised I'm a bit of a stationary geek so the opportunity to mix it with fashion was too fun for me to resist! the challenge was to pick a fashion decade to style with my filofax.. I couldn't resist a chance to wear my nerdy new dungarees so I opted for a bit of 90's grunge..

it's father days and true to form I'm about to make a frantic dash to the shops for an hour of panic buying! I always struggle with fathers day gifts as pops hates us spending money on him (which makes us want to spoil him all the more)

so before I embark on mission 'what to buy dad' a quick outfit post.. 

this candy coloured number is from karma clothing who've kindly invited me to be involved in their summer look book; the theme was festival ready so I thought it would be the ideal time to wear my flower crown.. yipee! 

I umm'd and ahhh'd over what clothes to pick and finally settled on these adorable pink dungarees. I really wasn't sure if they'd suit me; I've tried on loads of dungarees and often find them too tight and short for my liking! these have completely restored my faith in dungarees shorts and playsuits, hallelujah!!!

the cotton is really light and wearable, perfect for daytime, I'm glad I opted for pink as it's not a colour I wear often (I feel like a big slice of angel cake aha!) 

the little monochrome body con crop is also great; unfussy and just the right length for summer. I love the silhouette of dungarees so I decided to keep the jewellery to a minimum, just a bundle of bracelets so my arms didn't feel too naked!
