I still have a bit of a crush on pastels so this seriously pretty colour block dress from yayer had PICK ME written all over it. it comes with cute little cami straps so I can wear it over a white tee if I'm feeling a bit 90's but it's still floaty enough to make me feel rather princess-esque. 

I nabbed this satin bomber from the aa factory outlet in NYC and I'm still trying to figure out why it was reduced.. possibly because I look like an extra from miami vice in it? who knows.. the mystery continues.

 I had intended to wear with some dr marten style chunky boots and leather jacket but I threw on my topshop sliders at the last minute ..I wish I hadn't as the little blighters completely skinned my big toe after 5 minutes so I'm sporting a glam plaster/sandal combo, damn you tissue paper feet. 

I shall be going back for seconds though 'cause I love them.. be gentle ugly beautiful sandals.

quite possibly the last outing my boyfriend coat will get for a while since the sun (albeit temperamental) has arrived!

I picked up this cute tee in american apparel while I was in new york, it's an oversized fit so stupidly comfortable and easy to wear tucked into skirts or shorts! since I went for such casual attire I layered on a truck load of accessories from stacking rings to chunky necklaces (I have a little bit of an accessory addiction at the minute!) topped off with my belt to give it some definition. all in all a very lazy out & about kinda outfit!

I love little day trips.

I went to tate modern earlier this week to see the lichtenstein retrospective; I was super excited to catch the show as he was one of my icons growing up!

since pop art was the theme of the day I wanted to wear something equally pop-tastic so I opted for this gorgeous mink pink dress from mee mee (be warned they have some fantastic new arrivals in stock at the minute!)

this little number brought out my 90's nostalgia when; remember the good old saved by the bell days aha! bright florals are one of my favourite looks (I also love a dress with a good swoosh!) 

I went with the 90's vibe again with my accessories; my pineapple necklace from chelsea doll and retro mondrian watch that I picked up at american apparel. since it's still pretty nippy out there I added my new denim jacket which is one of those classic transitional pieces.. yep, I'm still a closet double denim lover.

after a healthy dose of pop art we headed back to borough market to browse the food market and make the impossible decision of what we should eat.

holy moly there's an abundance of amazing smelling food... decisions decisions.

 we went for gourmet burgers.. shock!

gawd now I'm hungry all over again... time to raid the fridge!

just a super quick little post while I'm off on my jollies! I've been meaning to give this lip balm a shout out for months!

I'm a constant victim of chapped lips and have a ridiculous amount of balms and potions but other then my elizabeth arden 8 hour cream (good but rather skinky to those with sensitive noses) this has been the only one that has helped lately.

I grabbed mine in american apparel when I spotted it at the till. I'm not going to lie I loved the old school packaging which was the main reason I purchased it so was pleasantly surprised by how much I loved the actual salve.

it smells of roses, strangely pleasant and feels liquid and soothing on, it's probably the only balm I'd carry with me on a daily basis and does help to condition me ol' lips!

so if you're in the market for a balm you may want to have a sniff of this one! they come in a tube but also in a retro tin if that's more your style! they're available on eBay and amazon and in store in american apparel!

I ventured out in a dress minus tights yesterday and spent most of the day cuddling up to a vacant radiator, huge mistake. since the cold has arrived I'm switching over from pretty pastels to winter warmers on my nails.

you may remember my post on american apparel nail lacquers a few weeks back, well I couldn't resist grabbing a couple more and I thought I'd show you how they swatch.

I opted for some deep winter shades, perfect for emphasising pale skin (I'm currently a nice shade of transparent but I'm going to stick with it) 

lipstick and imperial purple are the two shown here, they're unlike any nail polish I own. the consistency is really light when applying, it's almost like a heavy ink and even though the pigment is really dense it has a suggestion of transparency (the best comparison I can think of is the colours in a stained glass window!)

they need two coats for total opacity and a high shine, I took these snaps in daylight but it's still hard to capture the true shade variation (the red is a really sexy vampish colour but looks more berry toned indoors!)

 I'm a little bit in love with both colours if I'm honest so I'm giving them a thumbs up!
