home | styling the tropical trend

all c/o laura ashley

as you may have guessed from my recent posts I'm a huge fan of tropical home decor! I recently styled up some of laura ashley's botanical homewares over on their blog so I thought I'd share some of the images with you guys too..

when it comes to tropical nothing says it better than a pineapple lamp and theirs is pretty darn wicked. one of my favourite home accessories on the high street, it's fun without being too OTT so even james gives it a thumbs up.. score! I also wanted to show how you can introduce the trend in a subtle way (not everyone wants a giant pink flamingo in their living room like me!) I took some of their wallpaper and framed it to make some of the quickest wall art going! using prints is a great way to work in the trend and I adore this playful but sophisticated wallpaper.

I liked the idea of including tropical birds and plants into the theme.. creating my own urban jungle of sorts. the beading and embroidery on their cushions is just beautiful (and god knows I can never have too many cushions!)

if you want to see more of my tropical take over you can read the full post here!
