nails | nails inc x victoria beckham

well I think this may be the swankiest nail polish collection to land on my desk.

meet nails inc x victoria beckham.

the limited edition collection consists of two shades in what I can only describe as the most refined packaging EVER. made of venetian glass the bottles are weighty and quite frankly.. snazzy.

the first shade is bamboo white and at first glance the one I preferred, it's a gorgeous bone shade which is perfect for daily wear. the formula for this one isn't very opaque so needed a minimum of 2 coats on each nail (or 3 thin applications for the best results.)

the other polish in the collection is judo red- a rich tomato shade. this polish has an orange undertone which really shows up in photographs (in the flesh this is more red than orange.)

the formula for this colour is quite dreamy, this is one coat photographed here. the pigment is a lot more dense than the bamboo shade and the end result is nice and glossy.

overall these are two gorgeous shades from nails inc. as expected from miss beckham they're a classy combination and the packaging design for this limited edition collection is a winner.

the only downside I can see? honestly it's the price. at £25 a bottle or £45 for the set these definitely won't be an option for everyone. I have a sneaky feeling they'll still be pretty popular though..

do you have a favourite from the two shades?

  5. Got a few emails about these coming out, so it's nice to see swatches. I'm glad the red isn't too orange in the flesh, because I don't like it in the photos, not an orange fan.

  6. I was a little "eh" about the nude shade as I've only seen it in the bottle, but on the nails it is so, so stunning!
