home | my office tour

I've been so excited to show you a little bit more of my house and here it is.. I decided the second installment of my tour should be where I spend a lot of my time- my little office!

I decided to turn our second bedroom into my home office as I knew the rest of the space could easily double up as a dressing room. today I'm just focusing on the desk where I blog from but I will show you my dressing area another time.

teacup planters | thrifted
geometric tile coasters | tiger

my desk is usually rather cluttered (this is definitely the cleaned up version aha!) I love to have lots of ornaments, plants and knick-knacks on my desk. I have some new additions including this super cute desk lamp which adds a fun touch of retro style and colour. george have really impressed me with their new a/w home collection (especially their cosy bedroom throws) I picked up their catalogue recently so already had my eye on this friendly little stag.. welcome to the family fella!

like my living room the overall space is white, I've tried to add colour with accessories and artwork. I wanted to room to feel minimal but as the months passed more on more and more things have been hung, added or squeezed into this space (I just can't help myself!)

this is a sneak peek of what's to come.. my office only takes up a quarter of this room the rest is clothing rail chaos! (but I'll show you my dressing room organisation soon...)

I do love scandinavian minimal, but I also love cluttered creative walls so I try and find a balance when I decorate.. not. always. easy! I wanted something clean and functional when it came to my desk and this ikea baby ticked all my boxes, I also like these trestle legs as I can store lots of boxes underneath for easy access (although I do sometimes regret not getting the legs in white now!)

ceramic bowls | urban outfitters
organiser | filofax

my desk is often home to a lot of nail polishes (and cups of tea) I usually also have swatches and notebooks scattered around in the madness! oh and my trusty filofax, this puppy is never too far away so I can keep track of posts, ideas and reminders when I'm working. I love technology but I'm a little old school so like to write things down in an organiser rather than on a spreadsheet.

tin cup | cath kidston
rose gold cage | tiger
assorted frames | ikea, thrifted
owl vase | george home*

I love gallery walls and this has extended to my desk, I have a mini collection of pictures and postcards on my walls which are always changing. I like to move things around every couple of months to freshen up the space and squash any cravings I have to redecorate (a constant battle!)

my desk is always in danger of becoming overrun with nature as I adore having lots of plants where I work, I recently re-homed some of my desk succulents to the bedroom as they didn't like the sunlight on my desk.. on the upside it's made room for some fresh flowers instead!

storage boxes | george home*

under my desk is where the boring but VERY necessary theme of storage come into force! my inner hoarder always appreciates things that help keep my organised, these stacking white wicker baskets are perfect for storing things like beauty products/home wares that are due to be photographed for future blog posts.

that pretty much sums up my little blogging space.. I hope you enjoyed having a little nosey around!

I was overwhelmed by the lovely feedback from my living room tour (thank you!!) I really enjoy these posts so I'm thinking of doing my bedroom next.. if you have any requests please let me know I'd love to hear what you guys think?

thanks for stopping by to see inside my little home!

back soon

    1. thank you :) It's nice to have some extra space I have to admit, at my parents I had a smaller version of this office squeezed in a corner of my bedroom- you need to find the right desk (ikea have some good small ones and there's some great small space ideas on pinterest too but I do hope you get a bigger space one day!) xx

  15. I love this! I've been looking for ideas to spruce up my blog/crafting space and this is perfect! We currently have the same layout - lamp on the left, writing utensils on the right, desk decor on either side, and visuals on the wall behind - but yours looks much more organised and well put together and I absolutely love and need your desk! Thanks so much for sharing :D

I spotted that trusty Filofax there, I have no regrets purchasing mine after I saw you feature it a while back, I love it!
